On February 24, 2010 the Maryland State Advisory Council on Gifted and Talented Education’s is hosting a reception in Annapolis to "Celebrate Gifted and Talented Education in Maryland”.

An important part of that reception is the presentation of awards to educators, parents, advocates, community leaders and students for their work in and on behalf of gifted and talented education.

Please note that there can be no acknowledgement of nominations; award recipients will be notified in advance of the February 24 reception so that they can be present to receive their awards.  Last year the Council recognized 50 individuals representing 13 school districts from across the State.
