State level Advocacy Organizations
  • Maryland Coalition for Gifted and Talented Education - MCGATE is a Gifted Education advocacy group made up of
    educators, parents, students and other interested persons or groups.  It focuses on public policy and educational practices that may affect the successful education of Gifted, Talented and Highly Able students primarily between Pre K and Grade 12 including those students who may be identified as Gifted with Special Learning Needs.
  • Maryland Educators of Gifted Students
  • Emerging Minds of Maryland is a grass roots advocacy group that believes that online learning should be an option for all families in the state of Maryland and that it should be available through the public school system. Their goal is to educate parents who want to learn more about this option, policy makers and others on why some chose the option of virtual instruction for their children.
